About Andy

Andy came from humble beginnings in the small town of Powell, Tennessee. His dream college of Carson Newman was too costly, so Andy turned to the Army for help. After being awarded a four year scholarship, Andy went on to attend Airborne School with the Army. He had never flown in an airplane before, but now he was climbing into one with a parachute on his back!

During his first jump Andy’s primary parachute malfunctioned. After having to rely on his reserve for a safe landing in the drop zone, Andy was faced with two decisions: he could quit and go home, or he could finish what he started. Choosing the later, Andy stayed in the Army and eventually became a paratrooper. From there he went on to serve with the 82nd Airborne Division as a Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer/Commander.

Along with being a proud military veteran, Andy Wallace is a family man with strong ties to his community. As a businessman, Andy has dedicated his time to helping people plan for their future. As a Certified Financial Planner™ professional in East Tennessee, Andy specializes in helping people grow and protect their capital long into retirement.

With Honoring Vets LLC, Andy’s purpose is to provide a way to give back to the service men and women who sacrificed for our country by donating a portion of the company’s profits to charities that help veterans and their families. For him, this a way to pay tribute for all the lessons he learned from the military.

About Honoring Vets

Honoring Vets LLC was born as a direct result of Andy winning the Iceborn Giveaway for Veterans contest in August 2013. Andy was one of 10 finalists from around the United States who competed for the chance to win an IceBorn franchise valued at $118,000. The franchise consists of a freestanding “IceBorn House” that provides customers with filtered water and ice on demand 24/7. IceBorn is the Ice Vending Franchise brand for Ice House America.

Part of Andy’s mission with the new franchise is to give a portion of the franchise earnings to veteran organizations, along with using this opportunity to employ veterans as the franchise grows throughout Knoxville and the surrounding counties.

Andy plans to extend his outreach by donating even more to veterans through the everyday consumer products purchased on this website. These features will be rolled out over the coming months, so please stay tuned by subscribing to our monthly newsletter.

Empowering Veterans

Veterans who are transitioning from military life to civilian life face a myriad of career choices. Unfortunately, the statistics show that Veterans are facing a higher unemployment rate than the rest of our citizens. This is unacceptable. If you are a Veteran and seeking employment, please let us know. We would be honored to connect you with resources and opportunities to help you in the next chapter of your life.
